Forever Overhead is the meeting of head and sky, the in-between space where boundaries blur and anything seems possible. Seeking to recapture the utopian fantasies of their childhood wastelands, the brother-sister duo explore infinite variations of songwriting and improvisation, weaving a pop-folk experimental landscape full of contrasts and ambitious harmonies. With two voices, and playing every instrument they come across, their music drifts through suspended moments where sweetness rubs shoulders with the strange, and nothing is ever quite ordinary.

„East Sister turned my head, always sounding both edgy and sweet at the same time. The two singers on guitar and synths write songs that are often smooth, but are always unconventional and surprise you with experimental twists. Satisfying sounds are also coming from a bassist with a faible for old machines which he also shares with their drummer who is incredibly busy in the most tasteful way. How can they sound so nonchalantly held together, jumping effortlessly from song to ecstatic improv-explosions while underneath it’s always tightly grooving, as if they’re secretly communicating or following an underlying code? I hope I’ll never find out.“

A meeting at a poet’s home who was not there, waiting for hours in their living room looking at books, tin cans and coloured stones. The light shone pale through the drawn curtains, warm and somewhat dusty.
